Yael, who is an Australian living in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone graduated from NIDA. From a young age, Yael has been lucky to have worked with some of Australia's premiere storytellers, luminaries of performance and visionaries behind the scenes in films TV, theatre, and film. Yael has a successful career working in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael decided to make New York City her home following her role in the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically-acclaimed production. Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. It is based within Bushwick Brooklyn and is based from there to support creative writing, innovative ideas and new work.
